NYC Snowstorm
#18
this is the first winter i put on the Dunlop M3s, and I drive into the city daily from north jersey. The tires were great yesterday and today, uphill with the help of VDC and through 3-4 inches of accumulation without a problem. I got away with driving on my OEM 19s last winter, but this year I put the M3s on the 350z 18 inch wheels back in Nov and have been looking for snow to test them out. I was pleasantly surprised by the traction.

there was no way i was driving my G around in this weather. its difficult enough driving my Civic slippin and sliding around the road, if i took my G out i would be spinnin out all the time. I give props to those who bring their sports cars out in this weather..(so far ive seen a few...SLK's, 650i, G coupe, M3's).. but i love my car too much to mess it up with all the salt & ice on the roads. the civic is out till the sun melts away the snow.

I live in northern jersey so we got decent snow + sleet + rain + frozen ice everywhere. I am still using the all-season performance tires that came with the G, and i drove it a little bit and def didn't have the grip/performance i wanted too. Of course it is still rear-wheel...and all the friggin slush all over the streets probably didn't help at all. Nonetheless, it would be unwise to drive our cars in this weather unless u will be cruising in 2nd gear going 20mph.
