Drive the G everyday, it's not an exotic or even close to being a special car. I was just thinking how i wanted to trade or should have got a cayman. Then with the snow and ice last night i thought to myself how i would have cried to even think about having that car out or not parked in a garage.

To each their own, and yes you can let the car sit with out running

Things have flown and chipped the windshield (no I don't follow close at all), things have flown and got into the Brembos and scratched both them and the rims...

I just bought a 2007 Frontier to do this commute and will park the G all week... I will take it to the body shop soon for a few things fixed, painted etc. and overall refreshing I usually do every couple of years on a car. The G will only be used when the weather is good and I want to just have fun driving it. No more beating it up everyday.
I have the same problem with road debris. 49 mile commute one way on the Florida turnpike one way. Thank god for carpooling!

For being an everyday car, G's sure do get keyed a lot.

I have a 92 civic hatchback as my daily driver. Mainly because I get 35-38 mpg depending on how I drive. And I usually can drive anywhere between 160-300 miles per day. I use the g35 on the weekend. or on tuesday when I go to blockbuster(theres a cute chick there and she always says something about my car)

I got the CompG package with the base 260HP motor. Now after pulley swap/tune/exhaust/roller rockers>>> she runs 13.20's @ 103.4

Stock vs Stock it would be a drivers race

Crazy thing is the GTP is 50 pounds lighter

I think they're talking if the car sits for months at a time, then you can run into problems. If that is the case, start it up, let it run for a while and you'll be good.
+1.....a week is fine.

the only thing i would worry about is cold concrete. if you put some mats down for your tires to rest on then it shouldn't be an issue. it usually isn't after just a week though.

battery shouldn't be an issue either, depending on the miles you put on it in the weekend. If you are worried then you can put a battery tender that makes sure the voltage of the battery doesn't drop.

other than that, a week isn't anything.

My G is special to me. I practically make love to it in the driveway for all my neighbors to see. Spritzing it with turtle wax and buffing it over and over. Getting down on my knees and cleaning out the rims with my fingers. When I get into my G I smile and have this feeling if I put on this indestructible suit of armor. Its so great.

And thats all that matters, is that you love it. So why do many people come hear asking about the car or try talking it up. if you are happy with it rock it.

I took a girl out last night and she had all but praise for the car. To put me in my place, i took her to the porsche dealer and told her to choose one.

Same with my G, it just sits in the garage until winter is over. I drive a 06 Camery during the winter.
