Deer Impact

Deer jumped out in front of my car on Thanksgiving morning. Got the estimate today. The cost is $4,700. I only hit the driver's side headlight, grill, and hood. OEM parts must be pretty expensive. Oh, I have a clear bra to replace as well for $810. The body guy is going to blend in the paint on the front bumper, and fenders. I have a Laser Red 6mt. Here is a picture:

Re: Deer Impact

Damn, that looks like it ruined the holiday...Any injuries, or are you and any passengers alright? That's one thing I don't miss about the Midwest- the damn deer causing accidents

Re: Deer Impact

Sorry to hear it - for you and the deer!

Maybe all you "Deer hitters" should move to LA - we don't have that problem out west!

Re: Deer Impact

hahaha u dont even need to stop if have an F250 with a brush gruard. you could just plow it over and keep on going. And i agree i wish the G was that tuff 2. Perhaps i will give the G a 5 foot raise and put on some 15 foot long spikes in the front so then i can just take the deer right out and not have any trouble.

Re: Deer Impact

Here is a pic of my G and the results of my 'deer encounter'. What you really can't see is the smashed side mirror which needs replaced and the gouged drivers-side window. The total is $1300. Hopefully I will get it back tomorrow from the shop. It could have been a lot worse so I consider myself pretty lucky.
