Why me? Need some advice.
As I got out of the shower today my dad told me "someone egged your car"
All I could think was why me? again?
My last car (grand am) got egged 3 times in the bay area. Once from my ex who was just being lame, and the 2 other were random eggings as I was driving. So now I moved to northern california and get a new car and it gets egged. There were 5 cars in our driveway and only mine got egged. It got hit with 2 eggs, once on the door and once on the back tire.
So what should I do now? I am just hoping my insurance covers the repaint of the door.
Also I am wondering if its worth it to pay the extra money to get my quarter panel repaired (I had a big dent on it that I got taken out (sorta) from paintless dent removal and now its not really flat and the paint is flaking kinda.
Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

How bad is the paint on the door from getting egged? You could try to claim vandalism from the insurance. Doesn't hurt to ask them. If you have a $500 deductible it may not be worth going through the insurance since that'll probably be the body shop cost.
Sorry for the mishap...maybe you should buy a car cover.

The paint on the door is bad... the egg left a apple sized area of chips. Other than that its fine but its not good looking and its very obvious. Im gonna have my dad look at it tonight and see how much it will be to do the whole door. I hope my insurance company lets me to go my dads shop to fix it. I also have to figure out what im going to do far a car to get to work. Im not old enough to get a rental....

paint was taken off due to the eggs being hit? ouch man.
best advise really is to keep it away from the street, aka the garage
thats what I do to protect my car
Well that's good your dad owns a body shop. Hopefully it's a common color, black, so that your dad doesn't have to special mix and waste paint on. Like I said, doesn't hurt to ask your insurance what's the deductible on vandalism.

Its laser red. My dad doesnt own it but he runs it so he can give me everything at cost. Pretty much im going to mostly pay for labor. He said the whole door will have to be painted and so it will probably be a couple hundered dollars... i guess we will see what happens.
Oh and the garage wouldnt work cause I live with my parents and my dad parks his classics in the garage... so we dont have really any room in there. my best bet would probably be a car cover but that would suck having to cover it every night...
I will let you all know what happens. Thank you for the help!

If you have the room and pops doesnt mind? Maybe a portable garage
on the side or back of the house?
Plan B: Car cover.
FYI: Sounds like you have bad luck with eggs..sucs

No room for a car garage... our whole yard was ladscaped or whatever so any extra room we had we put plants in lol. If I want to park it in the garage I have to help my dad get his buick gs running and then help get my moms vette running. Then maybe squeeze my car in there. But we are moving soon and we are moving to a gated community so it will probably not happen there anymore. And we are going to have a seperate garage that you can fit a lot of stuff in so I will be ok then. So I guess I will just have to wait till then.
I am just so tired of eggs. I had one hit my last car while I was driving it. I chased the person till I cornered them, got their liscence plate number and found out who it was. Ended up being a girl that went to my school. My gfs friend found out she did that and she went and keyed her car. She already hated her so she was eager to do it for some reason. Not how I would have handled it but I guess she got what was coming to her. I think messing with someones car is stupid. It is a pansy move because if you park your car outside and go inside and go to sleep there is no way you can protect it.
My parents actually called the cops for me after I went to work and when he got there he asked my mom if there were any jealous girlfriends. I guess they cop knows from experience usually girls egg cars.
My dad told me at full cost (what the insurance company would pay) that it would be 1000 dollars to fix the door. So I guess I just have to file a claim and see where it goes from there. I hope it all works out though cause I am already getting bugged by it. And now that it happened all the other little dents and scratches on my car are starting to bug me!

I got a nice car cover from Costco thats fairly easy to put on and take off once you get used to it. It wouldnt hurt..And it fits in my trunk so when I stay at friend's houses over night.

Now when it rains..maybe a problem. You either wait to apply or
have to hang dry once you take it off. No easy way around this
