The saga continues.....here's a quick recap:

Today, Presidents' Day...

QUICK UPDATE!

Date: 02/20/07
Time: 0410 - 0515 hours
Weather/Road: perfect 50 degrees, cloudy and dry after heavy rain last night
Traffic: Very light
Location: I-5 north bound from San Diego to Orange County, CA.
Ride: 78000 miles - 03 Coupe AT (yes, I said it), VDC off, Stillen SC stage 4, CAI popcharger, DC headers, hi-flow cats, borla exhaust, Technosquare ECU reflash, personally made hypergrounding wires, teinflex coilover with EDFC, VRT strut bar, stillen front and rear sway bars, JBT large brake kit, 20" Sevas S7 rims and Falken 452 tires..etc..plus itchy feet and a Siberian Husky in the passenger seat!

...earlier this morning....

She (my G) wants more power and air now, she wants it bad. I just know it. I couldn't keep her below 80mph (3000 rpm) cruising on I-5. I gently stepped on the gas. It was so light and efforless now. She growled in a low pitch with increasing volume and kicked in gear to 90mph @ 3500 rmp almost instantaneously. Ummm, she wanted more. I then floored a little more and whoa, she opened up...100 @ 4000rpm...110...120 @ 4500rpm...130 @ 4800 rpm and settled back down to 4500rpm. I then backed down around 90-100. I know she has a lot more to give and wanted more but I didn't want to push her too hard first time around. I was tucked back in my seat by her G-force as she kicked in gear, litterally leaped forward and howled that low humming /pitching whine like the wind blowing and creeping through the crack of a window...(such a sweet sound so hard to describe)..she took off and flew like the wind.

Man, she is freaking/lightning quick, from 80mph - 130mph....floored it, zoomed..I was there in seconds (of course there's hardly any cars on the freeway around 4am). She loved sucking in the cold air in and blowing out her rear pipes (too dirty?)

When I got closer to home, I took the city streets to test her stop and go responses. From a red light, I gently floored the gas and she kicked in, and again literally leaped forward. Holy smoke, I was doing 70mph @ 3000-3500rmp about half way before the next red light. Unreal! I tried a few times with very consistent results - I can only imagine if I really stepped on gas hard and floored all the way down. She would probably just shoot like a rocket. She howled out a loud but low pitching whine and took off....can't wait to get on Willow Springs Raceway again.

I did not want to push the G too hard the first time - love it! Well it's finally ONE GOOD TO GO now! Pure adrenaline, my heart was out of my chest.

I'll get the ECU reflashed again and dyno done today by Technosquare in Torrance. Standby for posted results tonight!

Next: internal upgrades - performance cam, rods, pistons....maybe Chargespeed front bumber and Greddy sideskirts...(someone please save me from myself!)

Why... do people... quote pics!?!?! Ah yes, so others can scroll for half an hour.

Nice upgrade, I'm sure it feels night and day in speed. I love before and after pics, heh.

Was the install difficult? Is it maybe something that an average person with basic tools can do? Or it's something that needs to be tuned at a shop? Looks d*mn good.
