^^ on the sideskirts I found the designated area to jack up the car which is within the squares where the metal frame is. the only issue is that the jack is fairly large and i cant fit both the jack and the stand within the square and I fear if fooling with the plastic.. itll brake

therefore, im asking if there is a safe way for the front and rear

I jack my car up to put on my snows each season, and I usually lift the front (one side at a time) where the jack is shown in the attached pic....

As far as the rear, I go directly under the rear pumpkin and lift both sides at the same time....it would be a breeze to put jack stands under this way...
You may want to pick up an inexpensive low profile jack to make the job easier.....if not, use a couple of 2X6's and drive the car up on them to give you some more clearance......

If you look under the car, you will see two spots on each side of the car where the stock scissor jack fits....I would put the stands there....cut a pc of wood with a slot in it so it fits that "pinched" part.........

Hope this helps
Good luck

For the front I jack just behind the factory points so I can put jackstands there. Just do one side at a time.

you can also jack it up from the rear diff. that's what has been recommended on the other Z and G forums that i've been on, and it works especially well if you are trying to install an exhaust system yourself.

Isnt there a concern with jacking the car up that has led some to fashion a mod for their jacks that involves cutting a groove out of a hockey puck for a good purchase beneath the car? I seem to remember reading something about that a couple years ago.

I read about the hockey puck thing. I haven't had a chance to really see how large in dia a hockey puck actually is but I just did the wood cut thing.

I used two small pieces of 1x2s but I suppose a small square 2x4 would work exactly the same. I was changing my oil (on ramps) and decided to make this wood thing while I had easy access to the factory jack points on the car.

Idealy, it would be great if we could use the factory jack point under the engine cross member. I looked and the oem spash guards don't cover it. The problem is that this jack point is so far under the car, you can't get a normal jack under it enough to reach. I suppose driving it up on 2x4s would work. 2x6s would be alot easier.
