60k service
That all depends on:
- how well you know the independent shop
- how **** are you about the people working on your car
- what kind of reviews have you read about your dealership's service department
Try and post up in the regional section and find out where most members take their cars for maintenance.

The best to know what they do at 60K service is ask for their service check list. On that check list, they would tell you what they do for every minor and major services. You could ask for the price for each service. For the 60K service, my dealer asked for $600 without parts replacement. I looked at the check list, mostly the transmission fluid change, two belt changes and some other minor changes!! I changed my transmission last time and it cost me like $100, the two belts are like $40!! The dealer really make a big profit from these services! :-(, otherwise, the G's life is more colorful in and out of the dealer lot!!

If you search for them on this forum or www.my350z.com, you'll find many positive reviews. I'm surprise you didn't bump into this one (recent)

That's where I plan to take mine when I need service.
Hmmmmm, sounds decent when Sac2904 got quoted $600 (not including parts) for his service. Plus Corner 3 Garage is suppose to have great techs and great customer service. I would go there just for the customer service. $350 is not much because how often do you have to pay this amount....every 30k is about every 2-3 years. Not much to keep your car in tip-top shape. If it be any cheaper I would worry about the quality of work/service.
Give us a review of whichever place you choose.... I'm interested in this information too =)

I brought my car to a great independent shop for the 60K miles service last year, great price and service.

Beck is a very nice older Thai gentleman and a very knowlegeable mechanic who specializes only in Nissan and Infiniti in his shop! I recalled being charged $245 for the 60K service a while back, I think, or maybe $345. He showed me a list of work done, the same list that the dealer has. I took pretty much all day. I'll definitely bring my coupe back for the 90K miles service. You won't be disappointed, I was not.
Highly recommended.

I've driven several Nissan's & Toyota's past 200K and have never had the dealer do these services, I also never had any problems...
*Check your user manual for what needs to be done and when, then have a reputable shop do the work.
*or have the dealer do the work and pay the premium price for it (there is no guarantee you will get what you are paying for at some dealers).
*or just do regular Oil changes etc., I know many people who never have these services done on Nissan's and drive the cars for years with no problems at all.
Personally, I believe in doing the maintenance but do most of the things required myself, especially when it comes to my brakes, I am **** about how that is done, I send other things that are easier to do on a rack (like some things at the 60K), to my mechanic and come out spending less money with good results.
