Aftermarket driveshafts

A while ago I had an accident that caused my driveshaft to become either bent or unbalanced. The car is driveable and all, but it just isnt the same. Theres a delay in acceleration, robs power, and theres a humming sound from 45mph and up. Does anyone make an aftermarket driveshaft? Or if anyone knows of someone that totaled their G and is parting a few parts off their G and their driveshaft happens to be in tact, let me know. The OEM manual trans driveshaft is $580 . Help me out fellas, this sh*t has been pissing me off for the past few months and now Ive HAD it, I gotta fix my baby.

CF driveshaft! I've seen companies make them on overhauling and was always wondering who does.

found a couple sites ACPT and PST

also found this article that says "Perhaps reflecting a renewed interest in carbon fiber - and dropping prices - Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. is using it for the driveshaft on its all-new 350Z sports car and the Infiniti G35 sedan and G35 coupe due out this fall." I WISH!

Have you checked the center support bearing yet?

Im pretty sure it is....Id imagine a one-piece shaft would be better right? I gotta get some quoting done from a few shops around here. A buddy of mine said it may just need some re-balancing....hopefully thats the case because its quite cheap to do so...

go to a machine shop and theyll probably make you one for less than half. if the bearing is still good, they could reuse it to. they have most metals and shafts in stock at most places, try it out and see.

That's what the ESM said to check the center bearing for balance and I imagine a single piece CF shaft will be much lighter and more rigid. Less rotational force means less HP loss on the transmission.

To explain in detail the accident to you...I was cut off by some prickhead and I went over a median. My right rear wheel was stuck on the bushes and the left wheel was in the air, free to move. I tried to get out of the bushes, so I put it in first and tried to move, well to my surprise...It was just not happening. The left rear wheel was spinning as it should...but the right rear wheel was forcefully stuck. I think from me trying to forcefully get out of the bushes and basically forcing a wheel that was definitely stuck sent one of the driveline components out of whack. I highly doubt my driveshaft is bent, but just something is unbalanced. We put my car on a lift and had someone drive it while in the air and we could physically see the driveshaft moving up and down very slightly. As the speed picked up, the movement became quicker, but it was still only to very little degree in movement, just at a more rapid pace. I know for a fact this is causing the humming I hear and feel at the floorboards....and this sh*t definitely robs power. Also, while rolling at low speeds in 2nd gear...the car tugs 5x more than the normal tugging if gas is not being applied. Its been getting to me and I gotta get this fixed. Any more knowledgeable people please feel free to chime in on what could be possibly be the problem...

Thanks for the suggestions thus far Ivory, very much appreciated bro
