Re: My transmission dilema!

To break your lease you will be bascially screwed, and to get a dealer to roll it into a manual you will be way upside down on the deal. Either try to get someone to take over your lease, or get a 2nd car in manual that has some decent power for a few grand. That will kill the boredom and you will have a cruiser when you feel like it and a beater you can knock the snot out of when you feel like it.

You might be screwed. At one point I wanted to trade in my leased 2000 accord for a new one and honda dealers wouldnt have it. But then again a buddy of mine gave back his oldsmobile early and got a chevy from same dealer no problem. So it depends on the dealer.

Have you tried trading the car in for another one? Remember this is still a hot car so a dealer might give you more for it. What my neighbor did with his Acura MDX is he went to the dealer and he was able to terminate his lease but he did pay $1600 to do it. The MDX at that time was still a hard suv to get that's why the dealer bought it back from him. You can try to do the same maybe you can get lucky. Goodluck.
