I have an '04 with 38k miles, and recently dealer replaced my engine due to oil consumption test, and to make long story short, I also had the clutch replaced together with the flywheel. Now I went to pick up the car yesterday and I couldn't shift into 5th gear. It seemed like the gate was not even there as if the car had only 4 gears. So everyone with 5th gear problems please let me know what the dealer do to fix the 5th gear.

I've read problems about this in G's & 350Z. I sure they will do a tranny flush 1st...if that don't work it may be time for a new tranny.

it could be a simple adjustment with the guide plate around the
shifter?

 

I had them change the manual tranny fluid a few thousand miles back, so they will most like not do that. Thanks anyway guys. Anyone else?
