Was this deal worth it?

My friend recently purchased a USED 2006 g35 coupe for 32k. honestly i think it was a rip off. the g35 just has a premium package and some aftermarket rims. the car itself has 15k miles. I know for a fact that once the car leaves the dealership, it loses a lot of its value already. so i was just curious about everyone else's opinion here. Thanks

its not a rip-off, i would say its somewhat high. on autotrader there is a M3 with similar specs for the same price...

i would say that's about normal or average. 06s fully loaded were pushing 40.

thats a decent deal. if i were to sell my fully loaded G with 4k miles on it, i would be asking for 36k.

cause yes, i paid 40k for G..

I must have either read or heard that statement a thousand times and it's not true. Cars like anything else have wholesale and retail values. Neither the wholesale nor the retail value go down after you leave the Dealer's lot. Sure if you decide that you don't like the car after a week's time and sell it back to the Dealer, he will pay you the wholesale value which is considerably below its retail value.

not entierly true. just for ***** and giggles, i did a 06 w/ 12 miles on it on KBB.com, and it listed as 35,500 loaded.

Last month in Colorado, I purchased a brand new (8 miles) 2006 G35 coupe w/prem pkg and some other small stuff for the same price, $32,000. The dealer did have a 2006 coupe with 1500 miles & prem pkg that I could have had for about $29. In Colorado, at least, brand new 2006 coupe's can be had all day long for $5K off MSRP, and $6K off on sedans.

that is true for some cars but for most it loses value because it becomes a used car and not a new car anymore. on the thread starter.... ur friend ks should have gotten a 2003 bmw m3 for that amount ... much better car imo. and when the 2008 g comes out the 06 value is gonna rockbottom
