Was this deal worth it?

Was this deal worth it?
My friend recently purchased a USED 2006 g35 coupe for 32k. honestly i think it was a rip off. the g35 just has a premium package and some aftermarket rims. the car itself has 15k miles. I know for a fact that once the car leaves the dealership, it loses a lot of its value already. so i was just curious about everyone else's opinion here. Thanks

I must have either read or heard that statement a thousand times and it's not true. Cars like anything else have wholesale and retail values. Neither the wholesale nor the retail value go down after you leave the Dealer's lot. Sure if you decide that you don't like the car after a week's time and sell it back to the Dealer, he will pay you the wholesale value which is considerably below its retail value.

Last month in Colorado, I purchased a brand new (8 miles) 2006 G35 coupe w/prem pkg and some other small stuff for the same price, $32,000. The dealer did have a 2006 coupe with 1500 miles & prem pkg that I could have had for about $29. In Colorado, at least, brand new 2006 coupe's can be had all day long for $5K off MSRP, and $6K off on sedans.
