2003 6mt coupe need help
Does everyone with a 03 6mt car feel unstable at high speeds on the highway. I mean above 80 any movement in the steering wheel it feels very light and I honestly don't want to take it above 120.
I have had alignment done
new back tires (the dealer did tell me the front tires should be replaced because they did not wear evenly, they make a slight noise when I drive).
Hopefully you guys can help. I got my g35 used in sept 05 from a local infiniti dealer. When I got it the tires in back had about 10% in them left.
Recently I just dropped it on tein s techs and got some d-specs. Rides better but the highway is about the same above 80. I know the newer models have the rear active steering or something like that to help it. Is there anything I can do.
Also I wanted to add this is my first rear wheel drive car. I have drove bmw's 3's and 5's. I know this is not a bmw but something is not right. What I mean to describe the problem is when I am driving on a highway the steering is too light. Like if I have to change lanes the car doesn't really feel planted on the ground, changing lanes at high speeds is the worse. I let people drive it and they agree something is wrong.

double check that your tires are inflated correcly (?) could be having two different sets (old front and new rear) is causing issues . . .
why are the fronts wearing un-evenly? did you do a carfax when you bought it?

1. The condition that you describe is absolutely not normal.
2. You have a safety issue.
3. Make an appointment as quickly as possible with the Infiniti Dealer that sold you the car. Have them check it out thoroughly.
4. In the meantime don't drive your car over 70.
Good luck.

I don't have that problem either but you may want to get a car fax report and make sure your car was not involved in any accidents. My boy frought a G and the car was doing the dog leg. Come to find out the car was hit and there were some suspension problems that were not fixed correctly so he ended up returning the car.
