newb question - revving engine while driving in AT

I noticed reving in neutral gives a different exhaust sound either way, but dont mess around with this ok.

But yes you can go drom drive to neutral to drive with out a problem. I think some auto drives have gassed it slipped the shifter in neutral and had to pull it back down, nothing bad happens

why do you need to rev anyways, so you can show off to the little teenyboppers in your ATwannabeMT? I have an MT and have never "revved" it at anyone, grow up
