Is it stupid to get Brembo brake system on a 5AT coupe?
They are a direct fit? And the G35 rotors can be used??

OE Brembo weighs a ton, way heavier than non brembo.
Looks nice, but only going to make your car go slower if not tracking your car.
Go with Willwood 2 piece rotor & forged calipers, much lighter than OE & cheaper.

For how expensive the used brembos are here you mise well spend a little more and get a nice set of stoptechs or something. I looked into it for my AT and I cannot justify that much cash for a stupid set of brakes, considering they are as much as a set of decent rims.

Both setups can easily lock up the wheels where abs kicks in so stopping becomes almost solely dependant on tire compound and weight distribution
Your only defensive because your year model G did not have Brembo's, go on admit it!
Here we go, let the flames begin...
I am not saying Brembo's are better, I am saying multi-piston fixed calipers are better and feel better in every way. Brembo's just happen to use this design as all of your best brake parts manufacturers do...
There is only one reason not to use multi-piston calipers and that is to save money. You can argue until you explode but the multi-piston brakes will always be better and feel better and will cost you some extra $.
Now, can you come up with any more arguments or will you just let it go? Let the guy go and upgrade his brakes, he will appreciate them!
Having swapped my stock brakes for brembos, I can tell you that regular street stopping distances will not improve much if at all. However on the track the brembos make a big difference.
The Brembos also have a more linear feeling when braking. The stocks felt like an on/off switch.

Dont go cheap on brakes! if you are on a budget find some used brembos from a 350z/g35
4 pot brembo will make a big difference on either street or track use. First hand exeprience!
Like Jeff said, if you are going to upgrade your front make sure you do something with the rears, or else the brake balance will be off.
Especially if you have upgraded wheels let say from 17-19.
You will definitly notice a difference with 4 pot caliper instead of the usual 1-2 pot pistons.
I used to track my M3 on a monthly bases and daily drive the car. Trust me on this! BBK make a DIFFERENCE
