Adventures in G Driving....New England

So by the time i left work last night there was a good 3 inches on the ground. Had to reverse my way out of the parking lot. But Highway driving wasn't too bad. I thought to myself...."what are those guys on the board saying..this isn't bad....3 more months of this....no sweat"

so i wake up this morning.....streets are semi cleared out. I thought it would be no problemo. I get off my street succesfully and take a right. The right was fine but after the right my car wouldn't move. No slip indicator, no nothing. The tires simply couldn't get any traction up what seemed to be a PATHETIC INCLINE. A go kart could have made it up there better than that. Had to car pool into work, going to car pool tomorrow into work. Just got off the phone with TireRack.com.....$1722 later I got a set of 18" Blizzack 22's Tire and rim coming

Re: Adventures in G Driving....New England

in NJ. leave office at 230. light snow, nothing on ground. i'm north jersey heading south (where snow was coming from). after about 45 min i'm at most 15 min off my regular time. it then took me over 2 more hours to get home.

inclines, declines no problem. my sentra did fine, while my 6mtC was warm and comfy in my garage

04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

Re: Adventures in G Driving....New England

Got home yesterday afternoon at 12pm. Snow had been falling for an hour with about an inch or so on the street. I decided to take my car (18" with pilots) up the block to the court and back, "just to see" what everyone had talked about.

It took me 15 minutes to drive the 300 yard round trip. The car was sideways the whole way. Needless to say, my car is now grounded. FX will pick up the slack.

All I can say is... MAN, it's great to be living in south Florida! :P This just reminds me more of why I moved down here--no snow and (rarely) cold. My blood has thinned these past few years though. It got down to 48 degrees (oooo/ahhhh!) over the weekend and it felt more like 30!? I'm so spoiled; LOL.
