6 month/ 7500 mile service $175?

What does this service consist of? I thought it was just an oil change but my dealer wants $175 to do it. Does this sound normal?

the dealer will rape you with every service just to let you know. its better to take your car to someone you car trust and nows what they are doing and have them do it. do what HomieG35 said pay $50 for oil change and thats it.

Stealership Special......$175 Oil Change!

That kinda $ should be worth at least four oil changes unless you are using
my oil. I'm 50 miles from the 15K service and you better believe I'll be going
over the service sheet with the writer. No tire rotation or antenna service
for me, plus I don't want them doing an oil change because I'm not due until
16K. I don't mind them toping off my fluids or changing that indash filter but
that's going to be it!

Thanks guys. I thought that sounded to high. I'm just gonna stick with the oil change. How do you guys feel about letting a "jiffy lube", or similar place, change your oil? Im not sure if I trust those kinds of places....

they charge like 90$ for the in-cabin filter, you are better off doing that on your own also. I think you can get a charcoal filter for like 29$.

If you can't afford the suggested upkeep, you should have bought something more economical.

Sorry but I found a lot of guys that goes to Jiffy lube ended up with hefty repair bills at dealerships...I'm not saying all Jiffy lube guys are like that but they sometimes over tighten the drain bolt. Some cars like the hondas have stamped metal oil pan. The bolt get stripped. They don't use new washers on every oil change. They just torque down the old one...I use to repair or replace a lot of oil pans that had their cars from Jiffy lube or those fast oil change place. Most of the guys they hire are not certified mechanics. Only the smog technician there is a certified mechanic.

jiffy lube can be bad.

i've read many articles about jiffy lube not actually doing the work that you originally pay for!!! 0_0 they do it so they can meet their quotas

i'm sure some of you have heard this, but some news crews have marked oil filters and set up cameras in their cars, taken these cars to jiffy lube & get them back to find that no work had been done at all, even though they paid for it. -__-;
