Second "bump" in tranny

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I have a new 2006 coupe 5AT with 1300 miles. When I put it in drive, I get the usual little "bump" when it goes in gear, but occasionally, I get a second "bump" about 1 second after the first. It seems to drive okay afterwards.

My dealer says this is normal for these trannys. I'm thinking he doesn't know what he's talking about. Does this happen to any of you guys (or gals), or has anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks for any info!

i don't know much about our auto tranny, but i hear grounding wires help a lot with shifting lag and smoothness in ats. might want to give that a try?

Don't put a grounding kit on, tell them you need a new tranny...

It will get worse with time. Trust me, much worse.

Can I take from your response that this happened to you? If so, may I ask what car it was?

It doesn't look like anyone else is seeing it. I called 3 dealers today and all 3 said they've never heard of this.
