Fellow NY/NJ/CT G35 6M/T Owners
At 47000 miles on my '03, and since I'll be getting new summer tires next month, I've decided to replace my original Brembo rotors. Our local dealer here in Westchester County, Pepe Infiniti, will gladly mount my tires but won't install any parts I don't buy from them, even at their labor rate which I believe is over $100/hr. I guess that represents the special service level we can expect as Infiniti owners here in Westchester.
Of course, they'll sell me the standard Brembo rotors for $518 EACH, while I can get either drilled or slotted Brembo's from Tire Rack for $373 A PAIR!
Brakes are something I'd prefer to leave to the professionals, so my question is, have any of you Westchester people had your brakes done in a reputable shop that did a good job? Tire Rack will provide me names of local installers, but I'd rather go with someone referred. Also, if anyone had better luck with another area dealer (NY, NJ, CT) that might be agreeable, please let me know.
Thanks

go with the slotted or drilled brembo rotors they're better than the stock, and just make sure that the shop that is doing the install will offer some type of warranty don't waste your money on the dealership $100/hr is too much
