I also kicked in some Soccer Mom's GMC YOUKON DOOR PANELS. ****in bitch left a door ding (HUGE) in my door.. while i watched!! and then told me to my face that it was small and i shouldn't care... Kicked in all four door panels... and stole her tail-gate.

Just out of curiousity, why didn't you just call the cops and let them screw her over? That way, not only are you not liable for trashing someone else's car, but you actually get your car fixed for free...I guess I don't understand. It seems like there's a lot of people on here that would rather kick the crap out of someone, not get their car fixed, and be liable for assault than call the cops, get your car fixed for free, and laugh at the thought of the other person getting their increased insurance bill every month.

Well, I just got the estimate from one of the best body shops in the Bay Area. Their estimate is approx $1400 and they will need to have my car for 5 days. Yuck. My insurance will pay $900 and I am liable for my $500 deductible. Well, so much for my Christmas gift.

That’s just wrong—so sorry to hear about that, hopefully whoever did that will get what’s coming to them. Happening right before the holidays makes it that much worse. Hang in there!!!

Wow, really sorry to hear about that GXXXV. I know how you feel. Over the summer, I was driving down my street at about 11:30 one night and a kid shot my car with a pellet gun. That was only about $350 to get fixed though. $1400 is insane.

Most cop won't even response to dent or scracth on the car. Last time i had a minor accident, the 911 dispatch said that they can't send out the cop unless some1 is hurt or if the damage is above 5k. I think that is BS but i know in most cases, cop won't bother with keyed, scratch, etc..

First, I feel your pain. Someone keyed my passenger side door a few months ago. It sucked terribly because I know who did it, but I could never track the person down.
Second, what all do you need in order for your insurance company to pay to have something repainted? It seems like it would be an easy way to get a new paint job if you were just to key your entire car... pay the $500 deductible... and voila, a new paint job. Do you have to show some sort of proof that someone keyed the car, and that it wasn't you doing something like driving up against some bushes? I'm just wondering how the insurance companies protect themselves against people vandalizing thier own cars in order to get new paint etc.

$1400??!?! NO WAY.. not for 2 scratches. They can just reshoot both parts and it would not come out to more than $600. I would look for some other options, that quote is absolutely insane.

Did you do something to **** someone off? Perhaps showing off??? There are a lot of nice cars that park at Valley Fair and $35k cars are as common as Honda Civics in the Bay Area. I usually valet my car at Valley Fair just because it is so crowded.
