I could not find 5W 30 in autozone so I use 10W 30 mobile one fully synthetic oil, is this bad?

"so I use..."

Kinda late to ask, but no, it's not "bad". Personally, I would have stopped a couple other places to make sure I found 5w, rather than just settle for 10w, if that's any indication.

Re: Viscosity question..
On "low" you should add at most 1qt.

Re: Viscosity question..
I'll have to check again, but I thought the owner's manual recommended oil changes every 3,750 miles using dino oil.

5k on synthetic should be fine though.

And yes, 1.5 quarts oil consumption in 4k miles is normal. I wouldn't consider it to be excessive oil consumption unless it uses a quart every 1,000 miles.

I'm at 10,500 or so miles and I've not noticed any oil loss. Something doesn't sound right if you're adding 1.5 quarts of oil per 4K.

I use Mobil1 5w30 and change at 4K.
