Traded the G in last night

Well it was a fun two years I had her but it was time. It sat in my garage for the last year and a half and only drove it on the weekends. For my job I use a truck and the truck I have is a 97 nissan p/u 4x4 which is nice but just not that comfortable and slow as crap it's a 4 cylinder. So I traded the G in for a 07 Tacoma double cab 4x4 with the TRD package. It made more sense if I'm making a payment on something it should be something that I use. Plus I still have my 91 300zx twin turbo when I feel the need to drive something fun and sporty. Oh and they make a double din unit for the truck so I can put my eclipse nav in there it should look sweet and the kit is only like $40 not in the hundreds like the G's so that's good. Well I'll still be around lurking cause I want to see how the 08 coupe turns out. Thanks everyone for your help on everything.

Sorry to see you go, 6mt/B......but it sounds like the Tacoma will be much more useful to you.
Hope to see you back in the 'G-fold' again sometime......

Good luck with your Toy...

C.

I know how it is. I was in the same predicament last July when my daily driver (96 Jeep GC-190K miles) developed several problems and had to be replaced. I couldn't bring myself in getting rid of the G, so I went into debt up to my a$$ and got a Titan. I must say it's almost as much fun to drive as the G and it even has the throaty exhaust sound similar to the G when you punch it. Kind of a gas hog though when you do spirited driving. (12-14 MPG).

The truck sounds like a great ride, good choice and as you say you still have the Z to go play in .

Good luck with your new truck....its probably best for you after all.

I haven't put more than 2,200 miles on my G in the past year. I purchased a new home last Oct, and with all the lumber and materials I've had to pick up for the renovations, the G has been little or no help...

Thank God my wifes' G20 will fit a tank, saved me alot of money renting trucks every time.

Best of luck

Thanks everyone for the the good comments I figured I would get flamed for getting a truck. But I have been enjoying it. It's so solid and quiet and the materials they use on the interior is all quality nothing seems cheap to me on how the truck is made.
As for the poster about my trade they gave me 22.5k originally they were going to give me 19k but I walked out and told them I would just sell my car privately and come back when it was sold but they called me the next day and said they were able to work a deal with me. I know I could have maybe gotten a little more privately but it needed tires and I just didn't want the hassle of showing it to a million people for test drives and all that garbage.

We are on the same boat, but I got the Titan and I love the damn thing. I've had it for about 2 months now so modding will come soon.

Nice choice in the new truck. Toyota trucks are awesome.

Did you get the TRD offroad package with the locking rear diff or the TRD sport package?
