Just wanted to share with others my experience so far. I'm hoping some others may be able to shed some light on the matter. I had it installed today. First thing noticed was that it didn't sound much different than stock. A very minor audible change and I do mean minor. Getting on the freeway I noticed 2nd gear wasn't pulling very hard. So now I'm concerned Im losing power. On top of that it sounds slightly raspy. Not at all what I had imagined nor experienced in the past with Borla or any other exhaust system. After about 20 miles or so all of the gears started to pull normally again. I'm resetting my ECU tonight to be sure. I'm pretty positive the sound is a little off though. What could cause this? GOnna have my mechanic look it over and make sure nothing is loose.

 

The pipes will get a little more mellow, deeper, and louder as they wear in. True the system isn't much louder than stock, but to me, that's desireable and a real benefit when you're cruizin' on the hwy. (I get no raspyness you mentioned - so I don't know what's up with that)
The ECU reset must have done the trick for the power loss issue. The experts say to reset it with every mod. Sounds like it's prolly a good idea.
