Pushing in Clutch half way..

Goodluck dealing with missed shifts/gear grinds.
I noticed it happened more frequently when I only partially pressed the clutch in.
You don't have to push it in all the way, but half way is basically the friction point.
3/4 of a way is more like it.

all you need to do is push in the clutch till it is disengaged. if your engagement point is at the bottem, then hell drop it like its hot, but me?, well its all but a tap and im not worried about getting any less mileage out of my clutch than the next guy

+1, I can shift 3rd to 4rth with no clutch at all and it is very smooth. take 3rd gear about 2400rpm then with ONE finger only slightly slide the stick down towards 3rd gear and it will go into 3rd with no problem and no clutch. On the other hand i have lately started to push the clutch half way in when shifting to 3rd and up.
That's what I do during slow driving, usually in traffic.

If I didn't know better before hand I would be completely confused by this thread. For the NOOBS out there: You do not have to push the clutch to the floor except when your trying to engage 1st gear or starting the car. The higher the gear the less clutch input needed. And in turn, the lower the gear the more clutch input needed. Its important to know that clutches vary car to car.
Its important to listen when the clutch disengages while you press down on the clutch. This will give you your "wndow of oppurtunity" to complete a smooth shift. 05Scoobyroo, if you press the clutch down completely on every gear you'll never be able to shift smoothly 100% of the time.
And no this method will not abnormaly wear your clutch out. I previously owned a 2003 SRT-4 and put 57K miles on the original clutch before I sold the car.
