7500 miles service -> $90?!?

I just took my 06 coupe for 7500 miles service today at Infiniti dealer and they charged me $95 for inspections. Is that normal?!? Isn't that all inspections covered by warranty? When I asked the guy said inspections are not part of the warranty.

scheduled maintainance and inspection is NOT cover by warranty. however, u shouldnt even need to do it with only 7500miles. just have oil change and do the normal checkups...

i think you should stay away from them
$90... might as well stick you up with a gun..
A good dealer should be able to tell you that you just need an oil change

:-) trust me, you should be very happy with $90 for this time service, the next time it would be like three digits figure on your bill. Feel the pain here!
Ask your service manager for the service check list, on that list, it would have details info of these routine-minor and major service and what they inspect, replace for each service interval. Ask them about the price for each service for your own record, it's time to put aside some green because it's going to be expensive cost of service later on!!

i wouldnt take my car in for a scheduled maintainance until like 30k. one service adviser at passport infiniti of alexandria (in northern VA) told me i dont have to do anything except just normal oil and filter change/normal checkup until like 15k. and even that is not that big of a deal really. i would say 30k is the time for a bigger checkup.
you can get the service check list, and then take that to a trusted mechanic and they can do the same stuff for MUCH LESS.. in fact, one of my best buddy owns a pretty big shop here in VA and i take mine in to him for almost everything.. plus he would do checkups much more detailed than dealerships do without charging me an arm and a leg.
another option would be to take it to a good Nissan dealership. they do the EXACT same service for the 350Z for alot less money..especially the higher mileage checkup, it's much more expensive @ infiniti dealerships.

goodluck
