I'd say go through the insurance. Get the money out of him that way. Then one day when he's in class, fire bomb the crap out of his car,and sit out there with one of those camp chairs, and roast smores over his pos pontiac, and oh btw I hate pontiacs. I've had 2 try to walk away from me like they were driving some damn ferrari or something. Some pos bonneville, and some grand prix haha. Honestly though, get him to pay through insurance, then kick his *** and laugh at him then.

If I were you, I would report to the school campus office about his action to other people property and at the same time, I would file an insurance report. I would think that he would chicken out if you mention that you would get a police report too. Oh yeah, Cali cops would woop his out of state pontiac hard....Try to go the legal way first. No matter what happend next, try your best to park where next to the building or wherever they have some sort of camera. Just in case, he would returns later to mess up your car again then you would have him in tape for some serious punishment!! better be safe than be sorry, specially our G. Good luck and hope things go well after this incident!

You got his insurance info, which is good. Call your insurance and let them handle the whole thing. If you try to do this on your own, you might have a lot of headache if the guy doesn't cooperate. That's specially true if he was giving you a hard time in the beginning.

Edit: It probably won't raise your premium since you weren't driving the car at the time, but you should check.
This would be the way to go. Your premiums will be untouched and you shouldn't have to pay the deductible either.

reality check. beating someone down is assault and they can sue you. just go through his insurance. And after hearing a description of this douche, i don't expect him to honor half the price of a bumper he hit. You should make him or his insurance pay for the full amount of the fix to the bumper.

am i missing something? not to be a smart-#$% but, the dude was dumb enough to give you his insurance information so you win. Don't see why it's such a soap opera..Call them up and get your money. Don't deal with him, he's an a$$, so just avoid the confrontation unless you plan to hand out some beat down...wah wah..so what if he called the car a POS..life goes on..

you should have called the cops. and made a report for the insurance, to make sure that he pays you for your damage. But i def. agree with iCab.

Good Luck!

+1

on a lighter note, is your school called UTI?
That's funny.

For those of you that don't have girlfriends, ask one (a girl) what that means.

Get him to pay you cash, the full value of the bumper. Otherwise his insurance will take a hit. Then take 60 of those dollars, rent a U-haul, get the insurance on it, and back into his POS. you can do a whole lot more damage with one of those than with a pontiac.
