Raced Supra tonight!

Man! What a Rush! I kept up pretty well. I was racing againt modified Predue SH, and all of a sudden this black car came right againt my rear bumper. I was like what duh hell?! Then the car passed me like I wasn't even there. Man!! I know supra's r fast but this supra was REALLY fast. I had really hard time trying to catch up on him. Oh.. that prelude was a joke. Then again, the driver of supra probably thought the same about my car. oh well..... I can wait for this spring to come. I need Turbo charger to improve my high end power. I realized tonight.

Re: Raced Supra tonight!

It was pretty good race though. I really enjoyed my ride until I got dusted tonight. Of course G35 can dust probably most cars on the road but when U get dusted, it doesn't feel...uhm..let say.. not good. ahwWW I need TT setup ASAP.

Oh Yeah! Saw a Supra TT the other day and his tag read:

VET KLR

You know the kind that sucks air through the headlight orifice.

Re: Raced Supra tonight!

Can the G be modified enough to take on a TT Supra? I thought the horsepower celing on the VQ35 isn't that high, relatively speaking. Any thoughts?

Re: Raced Supra tonight!

The estimated ceiling is between 600 and 700HP from what the mechanics I've spoken to have said...Internals must be upgraded to get there, but the VQ has great potential...Need to know what you're doing though- can't just bolt on and go...You definitely need to get some dyno time in if you want to mod that highly and not either detonate or not get the full potential of the mods

Re: Raced Supra tonight!

Seems like on the VQ35 about 600 Hp will be pushing it to the max. There was a 350z that was pushing 800 Hp on a VQ38 strocked with T88's but they blew a tire on a high speed comp and roled the car a few times and totaled it. The supra is an obsolute BEAST!! Iv seen dyno's as high as 837 Hp!!! That is insane amoust of power. The VQ35 will never be as strong as the 2JZ.

Re: Raced Supra tonight!

Speaking of quick Supras; met the guy that owns the TT Supra from "Too Fast, Too Furious" in Vegas a month ago.

I was in the garage of my hotel just wiping my car down getting ready to head back to San Diego when I heard this CRAZY sounding engine echoing all through the parking structure as it was coming up the levels. When it passed me he revved a little louder; I guess to let me know my little car was 'cute' but not ready to play.

A maintenance worker with a cart came by and told me the hotel was having a car show and that it was the car from the movie. He took me to check out the car while the driver was waiting for someone to come open a fenced parking area. It looks a little different in the movie but they claim it's the same car.

The owner let me sit in it and I slammed my head into the roll bar as I tried to get in (low bridge). Usually you stick your butt into a car first; I had to stick my head into the car under the roll bar and then let my body follow me in. After talking to the guy for a while I finally realized that I'd better run back to my room at get my camera. I didn't ask him to open the hood again but you can see from the pics that the car wasn't a movie prop; it could kick some serious butt.

Car was a little garish for my somewhat conservative tastes but still an incredible piece of work...

Edit: I checked some pictures on the internet and on second thought I don't think this is the same car as in the movie. Come to think of it, it was the maintenance guy that told me it was the car from the movie and not the driver Still a nice car though...
