VPP program??!!??

Anyone have some good info on the VPP program. I have heard there are 4 levels to the program......level 1 you get a better deal and then there is level 4 which you get an okay deal. Anyone bought a coupe yet on the program? If so, how much money did you save and was it hassle free?

You can read about the deal from www.insideinfiniti.com. You can only get it if you work for a company that is affiliated with Nissan. From what I've read, the deal depends on how close your company is to Nissan. Employees get the best deal, vendors get something good, but not as good.

Re: VPP program??!!??

I'm an employee of Nissan and I know the VPP program is only for Nissan and Nissan affiliated (Infiniti) employees. To the best of my knowledge the VPP program is not inclusive of ALL Nissan products. Like I couldn't purchase the 350Z under the program because it is the dealership's decision to LET you purchase a car under that program. Bottom line is that it's not mandatory for them to let a car go under the VPP program... they'll still want to make a profit off the car - especially if it's a vehicle that's sought-after such as the Infiniti G35. The VPP program means that you purchase the vehicle just a little bit above invoice - a deal that anybody can get if they know what they're doing.

Re: VPP program??!!??

I've been waiting for VPP on the coupe for a long time,. When it was announced this month, I talked to my local dealer => not participating ("I can sell all I get a MSRP"). So called other dealers in NC and VA -- same story! So I called Ralph at Grubbs (had visited Grubbs on a business trip to Dallas and talked to Danny), and made a great VPP deal on my soon to be new TB/W/5AT/Prem/18s/4pc-Aero Coupe!

Bottom line, I got just over $3K off sticker ($36505) and am flying there Tuesday to pick it up. Shipping to NC was quoted as $650, but I can fly to DFW for $125 and Ralph will pick me up at the airport (there really is a Grubbs Difference!). I've also read/heard horror stories about shipping/shipper problems. And I just couldn't wait to drive it (just 2 days now)...

Now since I will have the LONG drive home, I'd appreciate input on break-in (varying RPMs, etc). BTW, I also bought a Colgan carbon fiber bra for the return trip.

Re: VPP program??!!??

I work for Sony Electronics and they participate in the VPP program. I filled out the proper form and brought my claim # to Infiniti with me. Unfortunatly the coupe was not included in the program. However, the 4 door was and they were giving me an incredible deal on it. It was about $3,000 off the sticker. Anyway- I chose the coupe and its worth every penny.

Re: VPP program??!!??

Let me clarify.

The coupe IS available for VPP. If you are a Nissan supplier the savings is approximately $3K for 6MT, Prem Pkg. All dealers in Atlanta area are accepting VPP even though the vehicle is in high demand. Must be end of year 'liquidation'.

Re: VPP program??!!??

I can verify that. I just put a deposit down on a black/willow 6MT coupe with aero, premium and nav at Grubbs using the VPP. Knocked a little over $3K off the price.

Arrives in TX on 4 January.

Re: VPP program??!!??

There are actually 3 levels. Level one is only for employees.

Re: VPP program??!!??

I ordered 6M/T coupe, black/willow, nav, aero, premium. With mats (as if it would cost them anything to throw those in for free...)

It was the only one in this config that they have inbound until at least March, or so they tell me.

Re: VPP program??!!??

Usually a VPP program will last as long as they make the car. The basic idea is that if a car is on a VPP program they want to move them and there is no longer a shortage or demand they can not fill. So once its on that list, it never comes off unless they stop making the car altogether.

Re: VPP program??!!??

the dealership i went to honored VPP...my brother works for United Airlines LAX, which is listed on the list of companies eligible for VPP, so he flew out to NY and came with me to the dealer to buy an 04 coupe, fully loaded...the msrp on the car was $37,595, i walked out the door with it for $33,995, it was an october 03 build, and i picked it up last week after a month (3 weeks actually) of waiting....
