Bose head unit not reading my MP3's

ever since ive purchased my 05 G35c 5AT (nov. 06) it has never read any of my MP3's... granted i made them all myself using Nero, i dont think this should matter though. They work in my 99 Jeep's aftermarket stereo, but not my 05 infinitis?? it says MP3 RIGHT ON THE UNIT?!?!?! lol

anyone else have this problem or any advice?..

should i try a.... "real" mp3 disk? aka not one i ripped?

also, when i burn regular music cds they DO work, and i use the same disks for both. so i dont think its disk quality issue...

go to the dealership and try to play one of your burned mp3 cd's on one of the cars to see if it works, if it does, then you are already at teh dealership to setup an appointment for some warranty work

i think i remember having problems when i had too many songs in the root structure of the disc. try breaking up the songs into folders... 1, 2, 3 or a, b, c... or some other convention. the head unit will alow u to move between folders and songs. i'm sure that's why your having problems. if not ... it's most likely the head unit.
