what does anybody think a mt g35 vs a auto z or even a mt z

 

i think z will win either AT or MT...
MT Z runs 14flat and AT Z runs 14.2-4 and MT g runs 14.2-4.. people start saying MT g would win AT Z but think again... by looking at the gear ratios b/w AT and MT it's so close each other till 3rd gear(around 95mph), MT don't have any advantages over AT in gearing unless going above 100mph... this is the big reason why we see so close AT vs MT compare to other cars AT vs MT...only advantage MT have over AT Z is less drive train loss and tick faster shifting but still it's so close again and Z has weight advantage by a lot(200lbs depends on options)... only ways g win is have perfect(mean real perfect) launch and and silky smooth quick shift... but i doubt it g would do it every single time especially on the streets...

All things being equal, the Z is faster. In reality, it's a driver's race.

Definitely a driver's race.

The HP and weight are so similar (as are the cars), that either could win on any given day.

I've seen mag times that had the G out-accelerating, out-braking and out-handling the Z. And vice-versa.

 

The z will win for sure. I race my brother all the time and he always wins. We even switched and I beat my own car.

 

Assuming you mean a straight line acceleration race, there's no reason to believe the G would win given equal drivers. It'd be close, but the Z is 300 pounds lighter with the same engine, transmission, and platform. The one thing a stock G has going for it over a stock Z is better tires, so if you get them in the twisties, it's a driver's race. But in a straight line, the G won't win unless the Z isn't driven equally well.

From what I've heard on this forum the AT is waaaaaaay slower than the MT in any car... With these cars being so similar, The MT should win every time.<-- Sarcasm.

Check around on the board- do a search. There are some posts regarding run ins between the two cars. My opinion is that it is all a drivers race.
