Warrenty and Headlight problem

Hey guys,

I just got my 05 G35 coupe 6mt like 2 weeks ago. I found out last week that one of my headlight is broken. the lowbeam headlight. I suppose my car is still under warrenty. How much does it cost for me to change my headlight myself?

Does the Infiniti Warrenty transfer from owner to owner? Do i inherit the warrenty? Should i bring it to an infiniti dealership and let them take care of it. If so, do i need to show them proof of purchase eg, title and stuffs?

I know this is a lot of question. Thank for your help.

The warranty transfers. I just dropped my car off last night for a tsb. When i purchased the car(from the dealer next to the infiniti shop) i went in and asked what i needed to do to put the cars warranty in my name.

The service man asked for the VIN and the car became mine in the system. Granted i've been with infiniti since 2000.

Not saying that the light should be on the fritz already, but bulbs are a wear and tear item. Such for a TSB about a defective headlight and then have them change it. If not i'd research on changing your own bulb. Well unless your time is really valueable

Take it back to the dealer and tell them you just brought the car a few weeks ago it should be taken care of by the dealer free of charge because you just purchased the car. If you change it yourself, it's the bulb it will cost you about 90.00 if it is the actual headlight your looking at 200-350.00 easy.

dont tip them a dime. In this case they are just doing there work. The actual change should not take them long, it's just getting your car into the shop. I dropped my car off last night and expect to recieve a call before 8pm to get it back.

depends on what the problem is... if its covered by warranty then you got it taken care of, but if its a problem that is not covered under warranty, it doesnt matter if your the first or fifth owner... it wont be covered...

FACTORY warranty coverage is looked up by VIN...

EXTENDED Warranty coverage is looked up by VIN & Customer Name
