2003 g35 coupe

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I am new to infiniti and been in love with g35 coupes. I have a dealership that I have been working with hard for a 2003 g35 coupe(silver with 26,000 miles. It was a lease and it was fully loaded. bose/rims/navi and I have gottem him down to 23,900$ and im wondering on a 2003 if thats a great price. It also comes with remainder of factory warrenty. Can I work em lower for a older car or is this a deal I jump on? I have always owned subaru so I would be going from a STI to this, I want something more luxury. I have owned subaru for along time and had 0 problems with any of them. What kinda cost can I expect. Dealer said I dont need to use prem gas like I do in wrx? Is that true and I dont think I would wanna use 87...and he said normal oil changes to cut cost...I dont know about all that.

Thanks for any help,

Craig Duke

I just paid 24750 for a 2004 G35 6sp w/o navigation and 20,000 miles. 6 sps are a little more rare than auto's. Manual says to use premium. It says that if you have to use regular, avoid driving it hard ( must ping on regular ). So I would say no to regular gas.

thanks for the reponse...not sure if I want to jump on this. I'm not to sold on the navi as he is. He was really pushing me to buy the new 2007 rather than used one. My payments were going to be insane compared almost 160$ more. How did you know that it was a auto? I dont drive my STI hard anymore but I still would use prem gas just to be safe rather than sorry. Is the 2003 a good car, I read online and I dont know how true this is that the front and rear tires are different sizes and you can't rotate tires and they go threw tires incredibly fast, also do all 2003 come with brembo? I dont care if I got brems or not, brems arel ike 500$ to replace hahaha

thanks for the input and sorry about so many questions dealer was cool but seemed like he really just wanted a sale.

Yea I figured it would be much slower than sti, especially the auto coupe...Imma test drive it in a couple days, I liked the 2007 but dont want to dish out that much, tradin in STI to get out of the racer image. want somethin a little more lux feeling. maybe I should keep looking.

thanks for the help

Brembo only come on 03~04 6MT, front and rear tires are different size for all years coupe (225/245), 03~04's brake pads/rotors tend to wear out faster than normal and produce massive brake dust, also known for their power window motor going out.

thanks everyone for the help...imma try and get him to drop the price another 500-1000 dollars and if so imma move. im in socal so traffic is horrible so im not to upset from movin from manual to auto...i would love a 6 speed though...dont think I will use nav but is a nice feature...is infiniti nav anygood? Its not at dealer yet since they siad they will be receiving it after it gets fully tested and made sure its okay. They orginally wanted to sell it for 27,000 and I got em down so far to 24,000...we shall see.

thanks though everyone for your input. new to this car and never owned infinit. seems like it has a nice amount of luxury. would most of you wait and get a 2008 for the extra luxury feel?

I'd get the one from the dealer. That's a very good price for a fully loaded G,and you will be very happy.Miles are good too.

Another thing to keep in mind: Insurance premiums.

When I was looking to buy a G vs STi, I found out that the premiums on STi's were double that of the Z/G. That was a major downside in my books. So just something you might want to look into as well.

Don't know where you live but brand new '06's in Houston have been advertised for $29,995. Check your local dealer.

I don't think that's too bad of a deal. I got my 2003 with navi and 33,xxx miles for 22,900. For the car I was getting and the navi included it was a steal. It's still all up to you and if you can bear to wait to see what is around the corner??

From a dealer, that is a great price, anyone here would be hard pressed to get a deal like that from one.

I got really lucky on my 03, but I bought it private party. Got it in january, auto/navi/26k/2 sets of rims for 22.5k.... but that was def lucky. If you want a better deal you better start looking through private party sales really hard, otherwise just go and buy it!
