my local dealer won't discount coupe
Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe
Yeah, Los Angeles is pretty f-ed up. I looked in May and June and no one would budge. I had financing ready and check for downpayment in hand. After multiple visits no one would budge on msrp. Best I got was free lifeime oil changes if I ordered from them but considering that dealership(Thousand Oaks) is twenty miles away via the absolute worst day in day out traffic on the planet, that offer didn't mean much.
What I found wierdest was the lack of attention some dealerships would pay to me. I'm young looking...but not that young looking. I could pass for 26-28 maybe. Yet two dealerships ignored me entirely(Glendale and Torrance) and one...Miller...just seemed like they couldn't care less if I bought the car.
Anyway, I've figure that the Los Angeles dealerships would start to discount sooner or later, but it will probably be like pulling teeth.

Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe
cynical,
thats all i remember. if bought in person it's a different story, but then again, shows integrity of dealership.
if a problem arises down the road, you don't know how they'll handle it.
when i bought my car, order was placed, thinking it was an 03. we then found out it was an 04. they honored the previously stated price (thus increasing my discount to 1250 off msrp from 1000).
they also honored interest rate.
04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.
