my local dealer won't discount coupe

I went to my local dealer to order Leather coupe 6MT without any option but the dealer wanted me to pay MSRP.

Does anyone get discount when ordering plain coupe 6 MT ?

mine was almost plain, 6mtC. only official option was sunroof. i got 1250 off.

someone then went to same dealer a couple of months later and did it too.

Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe

i'm in bergen county, nj. i went to park ave infiniti in englewood and got nothing off. i said booooo
just 6mt and premium. should be here in feb/mar.
only problem for me is that today i think my accord's front axle just got f*ed up. flat tire and then tire practically fell off the stock wheel. spare donut is on and i hear a grinding noise when i'm rolling, but its fine when i'm going around 40mph. friends said maybe 2 g's to fix? i still need to get it checked out. might slow down my down payment for my baby G =\

TekNi, let me know if you can get anything below MSRP... So far I have tried Riverside, Cerritos, Costa Mesa Infiniti... Both Riverside and Cerritos did not bargain on below MSRP... Costa Mesa said he will try to do somethign when I am "ready" to buy... I am going to try Mission Viejo... that is about it.. I live in OC.. let me know if you have any luck -)

i'm in nj.
if i search infiniti site, there are 4 dealers within 25 miles of my house and 13 within 50 miles.

douglas infiniti is in summit 908 522-7300.

mine was a 6mtC with only sunroof and trunk mat.
upon deliv, i had also purchased splash guards (installed), all season rubber mats, wheel locks, wind deflector (which i didn't install), cargo net and a couple of oil changes for 249

cynicaL102,

Did you even TRY to negotiate a better deal?

Ramsey Infiniti would have given you at least $1000 off an '04 6 speed with premium.

They offered me $1200 off the same car, but with Aero and navi also.

Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe

for the guys in la....

i visisted a couple of dealership yesterday and there should be no problem getting a discount.

i went to metro, monrovia, and glendale. all were willing to deal and i got them to match each others price.
so far without too much effort...glendale verbaly committed to 500 off for my order for a CB coupe (auto) . im shooting for 800-1000 off

since i want a CB coupe, glendal has two on thier lot. Since its a hard color to move i know they will give me a nice discount. too bad the interior is not the one i want. I guess its all about how u deal with those guys and type of car u want.

Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe

i did not want to deal with ramsey infiniti. they were complete d*cks to me. i don't know why, but i think it might be because i'm 21 yr old male and asian? i was treated A LOT better at Park Ave Infiniti.
i put my order in last month and it seems like now that its december and has snowed, i'm hearing of these discounts going on. i went to 3-4 places before i ended up at park ave. my friend's friend also said specifically he couldn't do anything about msrp at that time, but offered a good apr for financing. i just wanted to put my order in so that when winter is almost over and i want to get it, i won't have to wait 3-4 months for my car.

Check out this thread. For the sake of a 'phone call, and knowing I can get warranty work done anywhere, I'd call Grubbs just to get their price. And judging by their size and ride availability and good reports from their customers, I'd prolly buy there, and fly there to pick it up.

Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe

cyc,

be careful with park ave,
read a report of how dealerships sell cars over internet, via ebay, etc...

park got written up for listing cars in GREAT shape and when the people received them, they were dented.

after EBAY stepped in and cancelled their acct, they opened up again, same exact cars, but with a slightly different name.

you can search the ny times.

bah, we'll see when the time comes for me to pick it up. i think when i get mine, it will also be one of the very well treated and spoiled cars on the board too. anything besides the dents? from what you have read in the past?

Re: my local dealer won't discount coupe

If you have the money or can get it, then ask for $2,000 off sticker...If they won't do it, tell them to stick it...OR over pay because the car is worth it to you..............
I got $2K off at Prebul Infiniti in Chattanooga, TN because the dealer in Nashville would not.....
Good Luck........

6-Speed
Premium/ Non Navi

Telling the dealer to stick it in LA doesnt work, they are more then willing to let you walk, I know because I had the the checkbook out. That said, they are starting to budge here, about 500 to 1000 but they will tell you that your the only one why they have done this for.
