OMG. I was driving and I saw this Desert Platinum G35 6mt. I drove up next to him and kept looking to see if he would look over. Finally we hit a red light and we both stopped right next to each. Naturally, I nodded at him when he look over. And HE JUST LOOKED AT ME, TOOK ANOTHER GLANCE AT MY CAR AND LOOKED AWAY AS HE DROVE OFF. I was so insulted! Man. Oh well, I guess he didn't share the love. What a pity.

That sucks, I had a similar situation. I was driving on Bristol towards Costa mesa and waved to another coupe owner, he just gave me a blank stare.

Why so unfriendly?! I get the same thing on my bike alot as well. I'm always the first to wave to anyone...regardless of the type of bike. I only get hands about 50% of the time. At least show some respect for someone whose taste is just as good as yours

well, in nj as far as the area i'm in, there are mostly sedan owners. i always wave, or simply put my hand up and nod, but they don't bother to acknowledge me. the only thing i can guess is either they just don't give a [censored], or are jealous because they didn't get the coupe. i did have one dude ask me if i owned a red coupe outside of a video store when i was at blockbuster to rent a video, but he was real cool. wished me good luck w/the car and everything.

i will be honest and say i hate people checking out my rims in the winter (17's) and i can tell by the look on their face that they think the car is just a piece of [censored] if i don't have the stock 18's on it. that really bothers me. oh well lol.

I know, what a *****! I wave all the time. And honestly, it's not a big deal if they don't wave back, becuase that's happened several times already, but the damn guy stared me down! OMG! Total attitude!

one time i was on freeway.looking in the rear mirror i can see a G catching up so i slow down just a bit until he was parallel with me on the next lane.i gave him a thumb up and right away he floored his, cut off right in front of me and make an exit.OMG,what the hell was he thinking? i look down on my hand and WAS the thumb not the middle finger.my front tints are 75% on a sunny day.could'nt be that dark...

Yeah, unfortunately not many people same the share feelings that a rare few (like us) do. Its a very common occurance.

You might be friendly and trying to say hi to a fellow G owner, but in their mind you may be messing with them or you're just weird.

"It's just a car man!" <- Typical non-enthusiast answer.

I don't know if this is a G35 thing or not. A couple of times I gave thumbs up to fellow G35'er, they either didn't acknowledge or they just looked at me like I'm an idiot .

Screw all those negative people, there are other positive G35 owners such as an old couple in a sedan that I ran into on the freeway. They both gave me a thumbs up as I gave them one. Peace

i feel the same way. I chased down a carribean blue sedan that had rims, lowered and a nice exhaust. when I got up to him at the light I was trying to give him props. He just acted like he didn't see me.

LoL after that I was just bitter and didn't think he's car looked so nice. His exhaust didn't even sound good.

Okay, for the record, if you ever pull up on me and wave and I don't respond, don't get pissed. I probably just don't see you. First, if I'm not stopped, the only time I'll take my eyes off the road ahead is if I'm changing lanes. I've had friends who've pulled beside me and had to honk twice to get my attention after first trying the frantic waving approach. I just don't look at other drivers. Second, my shades have corrective lenses. I have horrible peripheral vision. So if we're stopped and I don't look directly at you, I probably still don't see you. Third, I don't do waves. I do the single nod. Especially if you're on my left, because I'm right handed and it's just awkward trying to attempt some backward left-handed deformed wave thing up against the window. If you're on my right, you might get a nod-followed-by-clenched-fist gesture. That's more of a "right on" or "power to the people of the G" fist, not a "stop that fruity waving you sick freak, I'm hetero and will beat your ***" fist.

I just want to make sure this is all clear ahead of time. Please rest assured that, if you don't get the response you want, it's totally nothing personal.

Thanks for the advanced warning. This guy was on my right. And I was on the left. I was in Alhambra, CA. He had a DaKine sticker on his rear left window.
I doubt that was you or if you're even in the same state. But I was a little upset when he not only didn't acknowledge my nod, but stared me down and drove off. Like what Tin Man was saying. That's a bad experience. It's kind of sad. We just love our cars so much and there are all these people out that could care less. They don't appreciate it. :-(
