Which color should i go with?
My last car was black, and my G is IP. I am soooo happy I didn't get black again. Like everyone else has said it is a PITA to keep clean, and shows every imperfection. My IP looks great and is easy to maintain. When clean, Black looks best in the daytime but nothing beats IP at night.
Both the OB and IP look great. Like everyone says, the main problem with black is that it shows all the scratches and swirls. It needs to be kept clean to look good. If you have the thinnest layer of dirt on the black, it will show, and it will look dirty. So there's a lot of maintenance going into owning a black.
As far as the IP, it's a pain matching the color on the panels. Your plastic parts will be a different shade of pearl than your metal parts. Go look at an IP in person, you will see that the bumpers and mudguards are a different color than the body panels/doors. AND, one of the things I've noticed recently is that if you look underneath your doors when they are closed, there is a plastic strip that runs between the door and the side rocker panel, and that piece will be a different shade than your door, and that's been bugging me a lot lately. If your car gets into an accident, it's gonna be a b*tch making it look perfect. One more thing, birds like to crap on white colors, especially PEARL. Man, I hate it coming out to my car everyday and see bird crap on my car, and some of them stain the damn pain so much that I would have to use wax and rub for awhile to get them out.
And oh, if you get an IP, don't get the clear bra/protector crap that you put in the front of the side of your car, that will cause that area to turn yellow too...
It's not just the G, it's all cars that I have seen in the pearl color. Some more obvious than others. I work at a Toyota dealership and we had the same problem with the Avalon.
Personally, I think nothing looks better than the IP with the wheat interior, that's why I got one. But that's just my opinion. Pick whichever one you like cuz they're both nice colors. But just know the work that will go into each of those colors. If you want something easy to maintain, go with silver or gray...

I used to own a black car and man did it look sweet in the sun right after I washed and waxed it...but take a picture cuz that's about how long it is going to stay clean! LOL Like everyone has pretty much agreed, if you like to sit around and dust and polish all the time, get OB. If you are looking for a low maintenance paint, then get IP. I think that both colors look great, but I just don't have the time or the effort to keep a black car that clean. I mean every little scratch and swirl mark appears to be enhanced on black paint OB or otherwise.
Bottom line is to choose whatever you think looks best!

whichever color you go with i think you're going to be happy, i'm sure people who have IP's sometimes wish they had OB and vice versa but at the end of the day i'm pretty sure most people are happy with the color they choose, either way you can't go wrong because both colors are HOT

jkk

they both are great colors....
