Which color should i go with?
Well i have had a black coupe (owned for 2 years, took care of since new in 2003) and im going to say DO NOT GET A BLACK G35. Infiniti put by far the worst paint job i have ever seen on this car IMO. The paint is EXTREMELY soft and scratches like hell, swirls like hell, and holograms like hell. Basically in simple words the paint SUCKS! I am extremely pissed off about how crappy the paint is. I have owned 2 black cars prior to this one and neither one of them had half the problems the paint on the g35 has.
If you use tire gel and it gets on the paint, your **** out of luck, it goes through the clear coat and then wont come off. Unless you have it professionally repainted. You can put polish on it and it will hide it for a couple days then it appears out of no.
Since black becomes dirty so fast you have to wash it a lot, which means that wax and polish disintegrate easier (obviously the more you wash the more that comes off) which then means that since you don’t have polish and wax on it all the holograms and swirls show 100 times more than they would.
I say go with white just so you do not become so pissed off like me. White will hide the swirls, hide the scratches (more than black), and will be easier to keep clean.
Ivory pearl (white) took my vote! Black is beautiful when it has been fully detailed and is clean, but the quality of the paint on the g35 is just crap.

Sean,
You need to use better products IMO..My buds 03 with 78k on the clock
still looks great. Then again he doesn't use crap products. Not saying you
do. he still has the chips up front but...everything else is great

It is beautiful when it has been waxed and all the swirls are filled, but tell your friend to wash his car with dawn detergent so it strips all the wax off and then pull it out in dirrect sunlight and tell me that the paint looks great when all the defects are not filled in.

dont see the "after dawn" wash because you never have to
strip off products. NXT will last about 10 days or maybe
5 days with acid rain. Cant speak for Pinn line but Menzerna
rocks n rolls..
