Saying goodbye to the G community...

Well guys... I have had fun on here. The time came (actually it was a month ago, but i have been busy and posted this now) to get rid of the G. I will never forget owning this amazing car, but I decided enough was enough after having a weird luck spell. July... car had a hit and run... October... passenger window smashed... December... blown throttle body. I also simply could not take the rattles anymore. I am also in the process of starting my own business, and purchasing my first home. I traded in the G for an '07 mkV Volkswagen GTI (after all way before I got the G, I wanted a VW/Audi, and I pay quite a bit less monthly than I did for the G). It's Candy White, with the Interlagos cloth seats, Package 1, DSG transmission, and the OEM Votex lip kit. Its a hella fun car to drive, and I will be tracking it eventually. Contrary to popular belief the DSG tranny is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Shift soooo quick. Anyway, glad to have chatted with lots of cool people, and seen some sick *** cars. I know I will more than likely get flamed for this, but hey, I am looking at the big picture and feel that it was a good decision.

Sorry for the $#!tty pics... crappy camera!

JDM_CPV35,

We all make changes at one point or another. You appear to be headed in a very productive direction. I trust that your new business venture affords you much success. Congrats to you on the purchase of your first home. LOL . . . Oh, yeah . . . Enjoy your new GTI.

JDM, Congrats on being a home owner. Give it some years, you'll be able to buy cars cash! Nice move! Good luck

Looks like the only plus in your situation is a new car and smaller payment.

Good luck with a business.
