Need the opinion of IP stone interior owners.
Need the opinion of IP stone interior owners.
Hey guys, I am in the market for a g35, and really have my mind set on the IP color. I really prefer the black interior, but they dont usually come with the black
. So my question is, what do you guys think of the grey interior? Is it hard to keep clean? Anything I should know about this color? Please post pics of your interior guys
. I always love seeing pics of clean IP g35's!
Thanks all,
Jimmy

I was in the same position as you . . . wanted an IP with black interior. The earlier years offered that combination. As soon as I saw the stone interior in-person my mind soon changed. In my opinion it looks nice, clean, and without a better way of saying it . . . elegant.
If I had the choice of black or stone interior, I would go stone. I HIGHLY suggest checking it out in-person (don't base off pics). In the end, it's all about preference.
As far as cleaning, yeah it might take a little more effort, but then again it already takes extra effort washing a white car . . . might as well go all out.
Good Luck

i also wanted the black interior, but infiniti stopped making it after the '04 model. i ended up getting the stone and i'm really happy with the decision. the lighter color makes the inside of the car look bigger and it isn't hard to keep clean. i just use leather conditioner on mine every so often
Stone interior looks really good in IP, as far as keeping it clean you don't really have to do much, like one member said just keep some wipes handy and wipe it down or else dust will bulid up and you will have an awefull time removing them, speaking from experience of being lazy. Go for it dude, but if you can find a black interior in IP, oh man you are one lucky SOB... GL.
Thanks for the quick response guys. I am going to be heading down to the dealership to check it out in person. Just hopefully I dont have to go through too much of their "sales pitch" to be able to get inside and sit in the car.

Unfortunately I do not have the means to purchase a brand new car, but I am very confident that I will eventually get a G. Hopefully I can find a used one in good condition within my budget locally.

I love my IP with the stone. It was either that or the Wheat color but that **** was like a bright tan which I didn't like. I had to wait a good while for mine but I love alot better then the tan. GL on everything.
ii love the IP/stone..that was my #1 choice..i didn't want the wheat because I didn't like the non-black dashboard and steering wheel..it just looked weird to me..the stone looks great on IP.
I've enjoyed my combo. I'd like black better too, but the Stone is pretty nice, and it's worth it for the IP.
I don't really like how the seats look after conditioning (Zaino Leather Conditioner), which is why it's a 1 or maybe 2 times a year deal for me... ...only when needed. I find that the Zaino Leather Cleaner leaves the seats looking clean and new, with that slightly matte look and no color change, whereas a conditioner adds a little sheen and deepens the color.
At under 6,000 miles and with a lot of babying, the mats in my '05 are still pretty clean and vacuum nicely. Picking up an extra set of mats, for special occassions or pics, wouldn't be a bad idea... ...if it concerns you.
