What are the "pros" and "cons" of the Cloth Coupe? I might be getting one if I can get a good deal on it tomorrow. I need to know quick. Thanks guys. Pictures will help.

cloth seats are extremely rare. you can't get any options with it.

Pro's? Con's?

Its up to you. You really need to have previous experience with either one (leather or cloth) to take sides.

Cloth is less hot/cold in summer/winter. But it can get really dirty if you're not careful.

Then again, leather can get cut/scratched/wrinkled really easily.

Like the guy above me said, no options for cloth. None, zip. Base as can be, but thats not always a bad thing if you don't want all the other stuff.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

as mozy said, if base is what you want...

my 6mtC is base (from factory) except for sunroof. but, 6mtC comes with a bunch of options already included.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

Options for cloth Coupe:
Body Side Molding
Splash Guards
Trunk Mat
XM or Sirius Satellite Radio
Aero Kit with Spoiler 4-piece
Aero Kit w/o Spoiler 3-piece
Aero Kit, Just Spoiler

So basically, not much at all. You will have to get your dealer to work with you on cloth options, especally on Aero packages.

There is no performance package, bose, sunroof and all the other options found the leather coupes. I live in Florida and I can't stand having leather, sunroof, skinny tires (not all the roads are paved where I live). So the cloth coupe is perfect for me.

Well I have had it with Infiniti of Denver! (only 2 in Colorado).

They had 2 Cloth coupes:
1-brand new silver w/ 13 miles for $29,795.
2-used pearl w/ 7,500 miles for $28,500.

What a rip. I was hoping to get it for around $25-$26.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

You're joking, right? $25-26k? Try again in a year or two, AT LEAST. Especially if you're buying from an Infiniti dealer. These cars are still a pretty hot comodity, and $30k is a great price, even for the base car (which in actuallity is not that "base" at all, it has so many features, and is so much car, that its worth exactly that).

Oh and by the way, most dealers try not to stock Cloth coupes because cloth isnt considered to be "luxury" (or so I heard......) so you're lucky if your dealer has even one. I had to wait 3 months for mine. I was told I was the first person to order a cloth coupe in my city (lame).

Ventural: I think you forgot to mention that the Aero Kit is not available as an option from the factory, only if the dealer is willing to put it on.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

Well if a brand new one is $29,795.
I would think that the one with 7k plus miles would be less.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

part of the reason they came out with cloth was to have a car with lower price. helps with advertising when they say, starting at...

I don't know about cloth coupes, but i was looking into getting a cloth sedan in california. And we were offered one for invoice (about 2500 off MSRP), and it was around 26.5k.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

Coupes are more in demand (or at least they were, I don't know how the market is right now). Sedans are easier to get.

I got my 04 Base about 3-4 months ago...paid sticker. The dealership would not budge on the price. I even told him I was leaving to look at the Acura TSX one last time and it still didn't work.

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

I agree with Ventural. I also live in Florida and my current car has leather, which is the first time I have ever purchased leather, and its tough getting in your car at 5 or 6pm. For those of you that live up north, just imagine July and August, only worse except that our July/August lasts from May through October in Central Florida.

2004 Coupe/DG/5AT on order...Is it Jan 21 yet?

Re: ATTENTION: Cloth Owners!!!

I have a twilight blue w/willow interior.BASE. I flew to the ATL to get it and drove it back to San Diego. I love it. It has everything I wanted. I like cloth better than leather but the biggest reason was head room w/out sunroof I fit great at 6'5". Only thing I didn't like is not having auto dimming mirrors, but I'm used to it now. Stereo is fine,no stupid silver center console, like the looks of the 17"s better-better ride-,no dual climate control-who cares!
