possible to beat a sti without FI on a roll?

What mods would it take to beat a sti on a roll?

I know on a dig no chance.

Besides FI.. so if it were in the range of 3k-4k... anything with that price tag of aftermarket mods be able to take out an 06?

i read up on some older models of the STI.. and some opinons of other people, but has anyone actually beaten a STi on a roll without FI?

im talking about a stock sti

I think its very doable. With an 06 6MT, I believe if you have exhaust, hi-flows or test pipes, MREV2 + Spacer, and a 3.9 gears, you'll easily walk em...but then again....what iffff lol

... Ive beat plenty of EVO's on the freeway, and im stock. The EVO/STI are pretty weak up top, due to 4wd.

are you guys kidding me? Awhile ago, I keep hearing people say it's impossible to beat those Awd without big mod. And now you guys are telling me, it's doable and not hard?

Uhhhh... Do you know the advantage of AWD? It's on its launch. AWD will not improve a vehicles straight line acceleration.

An STI & EVO are pretty weak after 60, considering how monsterous they are from 0-60.

It should be a close race at highway speeds, stock for stock, but most EVO's & STi's are modified.

At highway speeds, they aren't as impressive like their low speed performance.

Anyhow, I doubt you'll be racing an EVO & STi from a roll on a drag strip

If you were highly modified NA only, you should walk away from a stock EVO/STI at high speeds. If you were Forced Induction, he will get destroyed. (And vice versa). If both of you were modifed, its a coin toss to whom ever has the better vehicle.

Bottom point: You will get obliterated if its from a stand-still. But you have a change if its at highway speeds.

Goodluck finding a drag strip that allows you to do a race from a roll

PS. I'm assuming its stock for stock, similar drivers. Take it to the track for the sake of your G

.

G 35 coupe is heavy compared to the evo and sti, if you take out all the heavy *** leather power seats from the g and replace them with racing seats and do some simple work to the engine you should walk on them. Just remmber G35 is a beautiful compared to the STi and the EVo this ****s are ugly.

My advice would be to race one from 60 MPH+ ...they are still fast, but not as fast as you on the freeway. If you try to race one from the dig you are going to loose for sure though. Anything from highway speeds and higher you should win.
