VDC kills the cars cornering abilities. I forgot that I had it on once and took a turn very quickly. Generally I would have been able to easily juice it throught the understeer, however when the car started to understeer the front wheels started to lock up (traction control) and I almost lost complete control of the vehicle and almost slid straight into the curb.

last time I checked when my traction control kicked in, my rear tires stopped spinning...not my power steering or front brakes
