Re: top speed?
I've read that the Coupe is limited to 140, Sedan to 145, don't know the Z.
I've also heard from one poster here or F/A last summer that he saw an 'idicated' 153 on his Sedan!
How accurate the speedos are at that pace I've no idea.

Re: top speed?
ok in my coupe i have gone 125 so it can definetly handle that as far has it top speed well i have herd it is limited at 148MPH but with out the govener it should go a lot faster i dont see speeds of 160 out of the question. Probaly faster. At 125mph it was pritty quite and handle pritty well .

Re: top speed?
i doubt the g35 could make 160mph. Even though it is highly aereodynamic, six gears, and 280horse, it doesn't really have the power to reach those speeds. IMO i feel that the g35 would top out around 156mph in the right conditions. (air humidity, temperature, track conditions, tires, etc, etc.)

Re: top speed?
As a comparison, my Boxster S with similar HP and a 6spd tops out at just under 170, so it will depend on gearing and aerodynamics too, for example with the Boxster top up vs. top down vs. hardtop makes a huge difference. The G is pretty slippery, so if it isn't limited and the gearing is appropriate I could see it making 160. Then again so many S2000 owners claim that they can go 160 but when a race team modified a car for the Salt Flats and did actually high speed runs the best they could get out of the car was in the low 150's so that probably tells you how far off speedometers are at that speed too.

Re: top speed?
I haven't taken my 6MT out for a midnight top end run (haven't broken it in yet) but I thought the Nov 02 issue of R&T said it was 155 computer limited. I also agree that top end is highly overrated. It's great if you live in Germany (I was there for 7 years) but in the US, 0-60, 1/4 mile and for me roll-on is more important. My $.02.
