How Much Did You Guys Pay? Need Help!

Hey guys, I am in the market to buy a new G35 coupe. To help me out, I need to know how much you guys spent on yours and which pakages you got if any. I do not want to get ripped off. Please... O yeah, I am buying in New York. If anyone was from NY that would be a big help also. Thanx!

Re: How Much Did You Guys Pay? Need Help!

Wife bought a 2004 G35 sedan and we got a good discount. They worked off invoice. The next day I went back to buy a 2004 G35 coupe for myself. They wouldn't discount .01.

I paid sticker for my coupe. They did throw in some accessories G35 chrome plate frames, wheels locks, sunshade. I will say this, it worth every pennie! I love it!

HIS: 2004 G35 Cpe 5AT, Desert Platinum, Perf & Prem Package, K&N Air filter, Alba Wheels, ClearBra - HERS: 2004 G35 Sedan 5AT, Ivory Pearl, Perf & Prem Package, Rage Wheels, K&N Air filter, Sat radio

Re: How Much Did You Guys Pay? Need Help!

I got mine from Ramsey Infiniti in NJ. They're a bunch of bumbling fools but they did discount things somewhat to make up for the broken assurances and stupidity. And to top it off the salesman (John Torres) had the audacity to inform me that he would appreciate my cooperation with an 'excellent' on his survey and 'hook me up with a free service' for it. While I wouldnt recomend them for their service they did have a huge excess lot and were a lot more willing to work with me (or at least pretend to) than the dealer in White Plains, NY who basically thumbed their noses at my request for a test drive (wtf?)
You're going to to pay for options you don't really want or need because there is very little choice and everything is packaged. Try to beat the price down some for that if you can. I hit em up for wheel locks and a car cover at thier cost. I found them both very stubborn on their price, so good luck. If the car wasnt so amazing and my desire for it so overwhelming I would have been disgusted and gone for something else. But its been well worth the extra cash.

Edited to answer your questions I got the premium, performance and aero packages with the additional 'skirt' molding. I didnt want nearly all the options but had no choice but to take the bad with the good in the packages. After two months of waiting for them to order/find one to match my wants I finally just had them take me over to the storage lot and let me eye over them all and take my pick.

Dealers in north and central jersey are discounting on the coupes if you're willing to buy from NJ. Discounts range from $1000-1500 off MSRP.... just giving a heads up.

Do a search... You'll going to find the same answer over and over.

If your North East you can get a nice discount! I'd fight for $1500-2000 off. BUT anywhere else, California for example you'll have to fight to get anything off MSRP. There are some spotty dealers around the U.S. that might discount. Farmers town dealers, like.... well I won't name any. A lot of people here paid MSRP, but have had their cars for a while. But I'll say it again, this car is worth every single penny. Get every little extra thing the dealer will give you!!!

"Yes you can say it...... I'm a post *****!" :-)

MSRP, but I think the majority of the members will agree this car was a steal even for the MSRP. You get a lot more than what you pay for. Look at the M3 at 20k more its almost the same thing.

douglas infiniti 908-522-7300 ask for gil coronado.
i ordered a 6mtC in june for sept delivery. the first of 04's.

got 1250 off msrp, plus some oil changes, cargo net, wheel locks and wind deflector thrown in. only factory installed option was sunroof.

i know that they once reimbursed someone from PA the cost of inspection since they can't issue out of state inspection.

04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

A friend of the families son has a '98 M3 and he's jealous of my coupe. You certainly aren't going to find anything as nice without going up a price range (or two)

PS. excuse my refusal to learn the code for the board :-)

I paid a bit above sticker for mine from Atlantic Infiniti in Long Island. I think it really depends on the options your getting and what they have in stock and what not. I got all the options so I waited a while for mine too. Good luck

2003.5 Blk/Blk w/all dem options

Re: How Much Did You Guys Pay? Need Help!

South Florida here. Tommorow (or today rather) I go to do battle with the dragon (dealer) for the third time. The first time I just went to take a good gander at the car. The second time (yesterday), we (me, sales guy, sales manager) played one-upmanship for two hours.

We played the dealer "four-square" game they draw on a paper with numbers. The "shaft you on the trade-in" game. The "let's split the difference" game. The "monthly payment" game. And the "if we do this iddy biddy will you sign here now" game.

For my part, I pulled the "I already have a deal on a BMW 325Ci I am buying tommorow if you don't play nice" game. The, "act like your best buddy" game. The "let's price out and add or subtract every option, panel, and bolt" game. And the "my internet numbers say different" game. Although that bastid guy > Mr. Edmunds.com < wasn't much help there -- with his TMV close to MSRP.

Not to mention, there were three other people there test driving G35s and they're selling like hotcakes! Drats...

Needless to say, both sides shot blanks and went home to fight another day -- which is today! (evil grin)

And my reinforcements will be arriving! My pre-approved loan check comes overnight mail. I will head back -- check in hand -- plus cash down to slay the dragon. The dealership is on dealer row (Infiniti, Lexus, BMW, VW, Chrysler/Jeep, and a domestic auto mall) all within 1 mile. I can see the sales manager telling his guy not to let me walk out with that cash and check.

I did see one there that mysteriously had the premium package, and some of the performance package? Auto with 18" rims and aero without spoiler for $32,500. I am thinking of shooting for that one and then, at that last delicious moment, demanding the spoiler and extra goodies or leaving -- with my check -- with my cash -- an hour before closing -- on the last day of the year!

Wish me luck and godspeed G35'ers!

Re: How Much Did You Guys Pay? Need Help!

IMHO more important to buy from a dealer that will take care of you and your car as long as you own it. After a couple of years you'll forget that you saved a few hundred dollars if the service sucks where you bought it!
Even at MSRP the car's a blast and worth it!!!
