I've never experienced that... I would let the dealer check it out. That happened on my MX6 and there was something wierd going on with the timing.

It could possibly be a slight misfire? Maybe a coil pack or spark plug issue on one of the cylinders or something, free revving wouldn't put load on the motor, so it may just be something that happens under load. Have you possibly gotten a bad tank of gas recently?

Resetting the ECU may not change anything. If a part is bad or something mechanical is causing a misfire, then resetting the ecu wouldn't make a difference. With the car still being under factory warranty I'd probalby look into taking it into a dealer and have them hook up a consult to the car and make sure it's not throwing any codes, yet not turning on the CEL. They can also check out the main sensors (TPS, etc..) and make sure none of them have a glitch or something like that.
