FRONT LIP

Hey peeps,
I pulled up to close to a curb and scratched the hell out of my front lip or whatever you call it. Just wondering if you all could help me out and let me know what my options are on getting something new. And do any of the aftermarket parts come already painted. I just can't take looking at it anylonger......thanks alot........it's for a 03 black coupe

Re: FRONT LIP

Well, you can have it repaired at a local body shop, and then repianted. Bring it back to new condition, or you can opt for something a little different like the Stillen lip which will set ya back roughly $300 with shipping. You'll need to get it painted and installed which depending on your shop would cost ya another $75 to $150. Most of the other lips on the market today pretty much look like the stock one, that's been tweaked slightly. Longer, wider, and or lower profiled. It's your call.

Oh and lastly, if you do decide to get rid of your stock lip, my suggestion is to get it repaired, and then sell it on eBay. With so many people wanting them and the fact that they're so hard to get a hold of, you may even get enough to cover the cost of your aftermarket lip.

Good luck!

I think the cheapest you can get them for is like $279-$289, and depending on where you are in relations to Stillen (CA) shipping will be anywhere from $15 to $30.

Re: FRONT LIP

Or, if you have $4,000 that you just don't know what to do with, you can buy the Impul lip and body kit.... That by far is the best looking setup on this car (IMO)..... But then again, who the hell has that kind of money laying around?

Wish it was me.... I also can sympathize because I scratched my lip by pulling up too close to a curb when I first got my car.... Sucks so hard.... Oh well.

Re: FRONT LIP

As a supplier to Nissan, I have the opportunity to visit the port where some of the G35's arrive. While there, I strolled over to the location where they are installing the front lip spoiler. The reason for the 'shortage' is they are having quality problems with the installation method (robustness) and color match. This issue was visually apparent and was confirmed by Nissan quality personnel. Just thought I'd clarify the reason for the 'shortage' and scarcity of this part.
