G35c, AAA Nav. Commercial
I was just chillin' watching some t.v. and a commercial for a really cheap calculator like navigation thing from AAA came on...
They eventually cut to the interior of a g35 coupe with navigation and said "you don't need an expensive and elaborate navigation such as this..." haha
First time i have seen a coupe in a non infiniti commercial of tv spot!
Just thought i'd let you all know about it
Happy New Year

Re: G35c, AAA Nav. Commercial
I posted this in Off Topic a while ago... wierded me out that tha G's nav system was in the commercieal, but whatever. If someone wants to spend $39.95 on a system instead of the S/C nav, that's fine with me...

Re: G35c, AAA Nav. Commercial
I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I got one of those for X-mas, and finally took the time yesterday to see what it's all about. And I still haven't seen the commercial you guys are talking about. Anyway, there's nothing GPS about it. All of it's memory is stored on a chip. In my area, it's memory only applies to Ca Interstates, not freeways, highways, or suberbs. Here's how it knows where you are; After you enter the state that you're in, you enter the "Interstate" that you are traveling. Then you have to enter the "exit number" that you currently passed. THEN, you have to enter your cruising speed, so the audio command can be timed just right. At that point, it'll find anything you're looking for that's ahead of you.
I guess it would be helpful if you were traveling in an RV somewhere. But it's completely useless in any local areas.
