Clear Bra

Hey Fellaz,

Is 550 for clear bra really worth it? For 550 I'll get partial hood, back of rear view mirrors and bumper. What you guys thinks?

Peace

That sounds like a very fair price for the clear bra... The "G" has wimpy paint so do it soon! Make sure the bra has a warranty and it is UV resistant so it does not fade... Also ask about its "crinkleing characteristics" as I have seen some bra's look like a crumpled piece of paper stretched back out after about a year or two...

Ditto to the posts above! I have full clear bra and paid $800 for it. The paint on most cars nowadays are very soft due to less lead in the paint.

And yes, do it soon!

Good luck.

I agree 100%. Mine is 4 years old and I'm about to have it re-done. My company has an affiliation with 3M and I am going to specifically look for their product. At a NASCAR race in Phoenix last November, they had a Buick Lucerne with the 3M material half on and half off (literally pulled up on half the hood. The part that was still attached was extremely smooth. Make sure that you get an experienced installer with references. The guy that did mine 4 years ago did not have that much experience and it shows.

What kind of warranty do these things come with? I mean, if they look like crap after xx years, replacing them at cost would equate to repainting it i would guess..

ummm...who has a clear bra on IP??? has your clear bra turned yellow? I guess it's better for the other colors, but I don't think clear bra is good on the IP color...I've seen some pearl white cars, not only Infinitis, but Toyota and etc...where the clear bra turns color after a few years...

Wow I guess I REALLY got hooked up, I got the FULL 3M Kit for $300 installed.(Anyone in WA area that wants to get hooked up with this price let me know)

But anyway IT'S VERY WORTH IT! I would have even paid $800 for it to protect my car. I also got the NWPP (Northwest Protection Package) is a treatment for the interior of the car/leather treatment and carpet treatment, it's for when you spill something it comes right off instead of staining the carpet, IT WORKS too so i recommend it doing both.

StrateG35,

I already put a deposit down on my 3M at a local detail shop (they had to order it for the G35). But the price includes a full to detail in and out. So I guess it's not that bad of a deal. Thanks any way though.

Holy moly, that's dirt cheap!!! At that low of a price, I'd be concerned about the skill of the person applying the clear bra. That's ALOT of clearbra for a tiny price. Wow.

He's been doing it for 18 years, custom graphics, 3M, window tinting, etc. He even makes his custom made kits for cars.
The prices are about $600 usually, But anyone that I refer he gives them MY discount. But trust me has contracts with about 14 different dealerships in the area, when they need their cars tinted for customer or 3M applied they send it to him, then dealership charges up the a$$ for it.
