I drove from South Bend to San Diego in 2 days. Not much of a problem but I did encounter a shredded tire part fly at me and it scraped my hood a little. Keep in mind that stuff happens when travelling long distances. I would ship it. The drive can be brutal in the winter and its not worth risking the G.
