Window rolls itself down
Window rolls itself down
This has been driving me nuts for months now and I'm finally posting about it...I have a 2003 coupe and every time I roll up the passenger window it closes completely and then rolls itself down about 1/3 of the way. I could literally sit there all day and keep pressing the up button and every time it will roll back down 1/3 of the way. The only way I've been able to figure out how to close it for good is by quickly shutting off and removing the key exactly as the window closes, then it will stay closed, but even that takes me 3-4 tries most of the time. I did have 20% tint installed when I got the car but it didn't seem to start happening then, it took a while and seemed to start out of nowhere. Is this some sort of a child-protection feature that I enabled or does the window just need to be lubed somehow? I really hope someone has heard of this before. Thanks for any help.
Same thing for my Maxima, which is probably what's happening with your G. Are your passenger side windows Auto UP and DOWN? There should be a reset button somewhere, you'd probably have to check the manual or ask service. Mine is located under the switch panel on the driver's side of the Maxima. Mine does that because the window has a safety feature incase something is in the way of the Auto UP, it retracts automatically. I just have to pop the panel and hit the reset button. Not sure if this even applies to you, but you should look into that.

That is exactly what is happening. After a reset you should be good.
Just an added response, my drivers side window does it too, if I hold the switch in the up position, it will close and stay closed. Going to have dealer check it when I go in to have my HU replaced.

If you got the warranty, please use it. If it's a simple reset button under an access panel try that. If it requires undoing any time of screws, bolts, etc.. Let the dealership handle it.
I know I might not of contributed to this much but coming from a 1991 integra, with all the small things going wrong with the car, I so wish I had the warranty on it still you know?
