Is the Intelligent Key all that great?

I'm looking into an 06 G35 Coupe with Premium and Navigation. Because I want those two packages AND my limited choice of colors, the used selection is very limited, actually there are no cars with what I want haha. I'm definitely going to get either an Obsidian, Diamond Graphite, or Silver color with Graphite (black) interior though.

I don't really need the Navigation, it's just something cool that I thought I should get since I"ll be keeping the car for the next five years. I know my way around anyways, this will be my daily driver.

Which comes down to the Premium package. I only want the Premium package just for the Intelligent Key really. Its just cool, walking up to your car without taking the key out of my pocket. For those that have it, are you in love with it or can you live without it?

Oh, and one more question, in order to get the sunroof/moonroof you have to get the Premium package right?

Unless I was buying the 6MT I would not get the car without the intelli key, its amazing. It's so convenient, especially when carrying crap to your car you don't have to worry about getting your keys. It is really worth it, don't get the car without it.

No, you can get the sunroof as an extra option, but that is probably really hard to find since you are looking used. As a brand new car you can get it installed and/or get it as a separate option from the factory.

For a GPS system check out www.GPSCity.com.

Yes, all I carry is the key fob in my pocket and I'm set ...It's the only thing I liked about having the premium package (BOSE sucked, Bluetooth sucked, both of which are now gone now that I have a DD installed)

honestly man, i think its one of the greatest things about the car. its extremely convinient and it always brings a few compliments no matter how many cars have it by now, people are still amazed by it sometimes as i was.

I don't know, but I have it and I always get the dumbfounded look from people when I shut my car off and walk out with nothing in my hands and then lock it just by touching the door handle.

To my knowledge:

2005 G35 Sedan offers the Intelligent Key (not sure if it's standard or with the Premium package)
2006 G35 Coupe (Intelligent Key included with Premium Package)
2007 G35 Coupe (Intelligent Key standard without Premium Package)
